Before you render in Randwick

What changes a rendering job here, each from the council plan, heritage register or data sheet it comes from.

  1. Heritage

    Many heritage areas

Heritage areas cover much of Randwick, including North Randwick, The Spot, St Jude's, St Mark's, High Cross, Randwick Junction and Struggletown. Original face brick or sandstone must not be rendered, bagged or painted.

For your render: We check your address against these rules before quoting, so the render, finish and colour suit what the council allows there. Cement rendering

  2. Houses

    Stucco Victorians, face brick Federation

The DCP describes The Spot and St Jude's as stucco walls on Victorian buildings and face brick on Federation and Inter-War ones. St Jude's adds that painting face brickwork is not permitted.

  3. Heritage

    Keep Victorian stucco

Council advises that the protective stucco on a Victorian house should not be stripped to expose the brick, and that repointing is better than rendering or painting brickwork.

  • “Very professional and so helpful! Good communication and a fair price! Arrived nice and early! The rendering was done very well and looks great. The boys were very careful and made no mess! I have no hesitation in recommending Ali and his workers! I am definitely a very happy customer! Job: rear of house rendering plus a variety of rendering repairs in various places! Thank you so much!”
    ★★★★★Gregory Williams ·
  • “We loved dealing with Ali and his team. They are all lovely and really good renderers. We wanted something a little different (a thickly applied splattered style) in some parts of the house,”bagged” in other areas and smooth render in other parts…all was no problem, and expertly done. All fairly priced too. We would definitely recommend Finishing Touch Rendering. Stephanie and David.”
