Before you render in Wahroonga

What changes a rendering job here, each from the council plan, heritage register or data sheet it comes from.

  1. Council

    Two councils

Wahroonga is split between Ku-ring-gai and Hornsby. The two councils use different DCPs, so the rules for rendering your house depend on which side you are on.

  2. Heritage

    Ku-ring-gai side

Part of the suburb is in Ku-ring-gai's Wahroonga conservation area, a collection of grand Federation and Inter-war residences, where unpainted brick is not to be rendered or painted.

For your render: We check your address against these rules before quoting, so the render, finish and colour suit what the council allows there. Cement rendering

  3. Heritage

    Hornsby side

Hornsby's Wahroonga HCAs have different controls: modest single-storey houses in weatherboard, fibro, brick and roughcast render, and in Wahroonga North, mottled or light-coloured brick to be avoided.

  • “Very professional and so helpful! Good communication and a fair price! Arrived nice and early! The rendering was done very well and looks great. The boys were very careful and made no mess! I have no hesitation in recommending Ali and his workers! I am definitely a very happy customer! Job: rear of house rendering plus a variety of rendering repairs in various places! Thank you so much!”
    ★★★★★Gregory Williams ·
  • “We loved dealing with Ali and his team. They are all lovely and really good renderers. We wanted something a little different (a thickly applied splattered style) in some parts of the house,”bagged” in other areas and smooth render in other parts…all was no problem, and expertly done. All fairly priced too. We would definitely recommend Finishing Touch Rendering. Stephanie and David.”
