Before you render in Beecroft

What changes a rendering job here, each from the council plan, heritage register or data sheet it comes from.

  1. Heritage

    Beecroft–Cheltenham conservation area

Much of Beecroft is in this conservation area (Hornsby LEP C2). Painting previously unpainted surfaces needs consent, and the DCP says paint should not go on original face brick or stone.

For your render: We check your address against these rules before quoting, so the render, finish and colour suit what the council allows there. Cement rendering

  2. Houses

    Stone bases and face brick

Hornsby's DCP describes stone foundations, face brick with small rendered details and tiled roofs as typical. On the Plateau, walls should be clean face brick with render only for small areas; in Beecroft North, face brick, rendered masonry or weatherboard are all accepted.

  3. Council

    Hornsby and Parramatta

Part of Beecroft is in City of Parramatta, outside the Hornsby conservation area. Parramatta lists no conservation area in Beecroft, so its side follows Parramatta's DCP and usually the exempt-work rules.

  • “Very professional and so helpful! Good communication and a fair price! Arrived nice and early! The rendering was done very well and looks great. The boys were very careful and made no mess! I have no hesitation in recommending Ali and his workers! I am definitely a very happy customer! Job: rear of house rendering plus a variety of rendering repairs in various places! Thank you so much!”
    ★★★★★Gregory Williams ·
  • “We loved dealing with Ali and his team. They are all lovely and really good renderers. We wanted something a little different (a thickly applied splattered style) in some parts of the house,”bagged” in other areas and smooth render in other parts…all was no problem, and expertly done. All fairly priced too. We would definitely recommend Finishing Touch Rendering. Stephanie and David.”
