Before you render in Bondi Junction

What changes a rendering job here, each from the council plan, heritage register or data sheet it comes from.

  1. Heritage

    Mill Hill conservation area

Part of Bondi Junction's residential land is the Mill Hill heritage area, where narrow, deep lots carry one and two-storey late Victorian terrace rows, small worker cottages and Federation semis. Waverley does not allow original face brick or stone on these buildings to be rendered, and surfaces that were never painted should stay that way.

For your render: We check your address against these rules before quoting, so the render, finish and colour suit what the council allows there. Cement rendering

  2. Heritage

    Botany Street conservation area

Some of the housing east of the Junction is in the Botany Street heritage area. Its listing describes houses from the 1890s to the 1940s, Victorian filigree onwards, that differ from one lot to the next, so a new finish has to suit that house's own period, and re-rendering or painting one needs consent.

  • “Very professional and so helpful! Good communication and a fair price! Arrived nice and early! The rendering was done very well and looks great. The boys were very careful and made no mess! I have no hesitation in recommending Ali and his workers! I am definitely a very happy customer! Job: rear of house rendering plus a variety of rendering repairs in various places! Thank you so much!”
    ★★★★★Gregory Williams ·
  • “We loved dealing with Ali and his team. They are all lovely and really good renderers. We wanted something a little different (a thickly applied splattered style) in some parts of the house,”bagged” in other areas and smooth render in other parts…all was no problem, and expertly done. All fairly priced too. We would definitely recommend Finishing Touch Rendering. Stephanie and David.”
