Before you render in Breakfast Point

What changes a rendering job here, each from the council plan, heritage register or data sheet it comes from.

  1. Houses

    Light pastel walls only

Breakfast Point's precinct controls for single dwellings allow face brick, render or bagging, but wall colours must be light-reflective pastel shades, no wall darker than the traditional 'liver brick', and strongly mottled face brick blends are not permitted. A re-render that needs a DA here should be specified in a light colour from the start.

  2. Houses

    White trim on soft-coloured walls

The built form controls for the estate ask for predominant primary walls in light soft colours and white for secondary architectural detail. That suits acrylic texture coats in pale tones and painted mouldings in white.

  3. Coast

    Cladding near the river

Breakfast Point's waterfront streets sit within 100 metres of the Parramatta River. For polystyrene cladding on those blocks, Unitex requires Class 4 or 316 stainless steel fixings rather than its standard screws.

  • “Very professional and so helpful! Good communication and a fair price! Arrived nice and early! The rendering was done very well and looks great. The boys were very careful and made no mess! I have no hesitation in recommending Ali and his workers! I am definitely a very happy customer! Job: rear of house rendering plus a variety of rendering repairs in various places! Thank you so much!”
    ★★★★★Gregory Williams ·
  • “We loved dealing with Ali and his team. They are all lovely and really good renderers. We wanted something a little different (a thickly applied splattered style) in some parts of the house,”bagged” in other areas and smooth render in other parts…all was no problem, and expertly done. All fairly priced too. We would definitely recommend Finishing Touch Rendering. Stephanie and David.”
