Rendering in Middle Cove

Middle Cove's bushland and Middle Harbour edges shape re-rendering more than heritage does; much of the suburb is mapped bush fire prone. Cement and acrylic rendering in Middle Cove, with a free quote.

Before you render in Middle Cove

What changes a rendering job here, each from the council plan, heritage register or data sheet it comes from.

  1. Bush fire

    Bush fire prone land

Much of Middle Cove is mapped bush fire prone, a good deal of it Category 1 vegetation. On most lots, then, exempt re-rendering must keep embers out and EPS cladding needs a system tested to the site's bushfire attack level (BAL).

For your render: On bush fire prone land the render or cladding system has to suit the block's bush fire attack level (BAL), with gaps sealed against embers. Polystyrene cladding

  2. Coast

    Salt air on the waterfront

Middle Cove's Middle Harbour blocks are within 100 m of salt water. Plan on more regular washing there: Rockcote's 12-monthly clean-down is the baseline, and painted or textured finishes close to the coast need it more often. Polystyrene cladding on those blocks takes Class 4 or 316 stainless fixings under the Unitex manual.

  • “Very professional and so helpful! Good communication and a fair price! Arrived nice and early! The rendering was done very well and looks great. The boys were very careful and made no mess! I have no hesitation in recommending Ali and his workers! I am definitely a very happy customer! Job: rear of house rendering plus a variety of rendering repairs in various places! Thank you so much!”
    ★★★★★Gregory Williams ·
  • “We loved dealing with Ali and his team. They are all lovely and really good renderers. We wanted something a little different (a thickly applied splattered style) in some parts of the house,”bagged” in other areas and smooth render in other parts…all was no problem, and expertly done. All fairly priced too. We would definitely recommend Finishing Touch Rendering. Stephanie and David.”
