Before you render in Fairlight
What changes a rendering job here, each from the council plan, heritage register or data sheet it comes from.
Coast
Harbour and surf upkeep
Parts of Fairlight's housing land are within 100 m of North Harbour, and the eastern streets are within 1 km of the surf at Manly. That salt air means more care for render: Rockcote wants its systems washed down every 12 months, and finishes close to the coast cleaned more often. Either distance also brings in Unitex's Class 4 or 316 stainless fixings for polystyrene cladding.

Council
Foreshore scenic protection
Fairlight's harbour slopes are in Manly's Foreshore Scenic Protection Area, where DA work must use non-reflective finishes in colours that blend with the landscape.

Heritage
Listed groups of houses
Manly LEP 2013 lists several groups of houses in Fairlight, along with semi-detached houses and a stone terrace. On any of these the Manly DCP rules out rendering or painting original face brick.
For your render: We check your address against these rules before quoting, so the render, finish and colour suit what the council allows there. Cement rendering

Reviews
What our clients say
Courteous, tidy, protected the area from debris, cleaned up after and a good job
“Very professional and so helpful! Good communication and a fair price! Arrived nice and early! The rendering was done very well and looks great. The boys were very careful and made no mess! I have no hesitation in recommending Ali and his workers! I am definitely a very happy customer! Job: rear of house rendering plus a variety of rendering repairs in various places! Thank you so much!”
★★★★★Gregory Williams · “We loved dealing with Ali and his team. They are all lovely and really good renderers. We wanted something a little different (a thickly applied splattered style) in some parts of the house,”bagged” in other areas and smooth render in other parts…all was no problem, and expertly done. All fairly priced too. We would definitely recommend Finishing Touch Rendering. Stephanie and David.”
