Before you render in Rose Bay

What changes a rendering job here, each from the council plan, heritage register or data sheet it comes from.

  1. Council

    Woollahra and Waverley

Most of Rose Bay is Woollahra Council, and the eastern slopes are Waverley Council. Each has a different DCP and heritage exemption process, so check which council your address is in.

  2. Heritage

    Neighbourhood heritage areas

Kent Road, Balfour Road, Rose Bay Gardens Estate and Beresford Estate are small heritage areas in the suburb. Painting, bagging or rendering original face brick in them is not to occur.

For your render: We check your address against these rules before quoting, so the render, finish and colour suit what the council allows there. Cement rendering

  3. Houses

    Roughcast Federation houses

The Beresford Estate group in Balfour Road is Federation Arts and Crafts, with broad walls of roughcast render, often over face brick on sandstone bases. Repairs to that roughcast should match the original texture.

  • “Very professional and so helpful! Good communication and a fair price! Arrived nice and early! The rendering was done very well and looks great. The boys were very careful and made no mess! I have no hesitation in recommending Ali and his workers! I am definitely a very happy customer! Job: rear of house rendering plus a variety of rendering repairs in various places! Thank you so much!”
    ★★★★★Gregory Williams ·
  • “We loved dealing with Ali and his team. They are all lovely and really good renderers. We wanted something a little different (a thickly applied splattered style) in some parts of the house,”bagged” in other areas and smooth render in other parts…all was no problem, and expertly done. All fairly priced too. We would definitely recommend Finishing Touch Rendering. Stephanie and David.”
