Before you render in Kirribilli
What changes a rendering job here, each from the council plan, heritage register or data sheet it comes from.
Heritage
Kirribilli and Careening Cove
Much of Kirribilli is in the Kirribilli and Careening Cove conservation areas. North Sydney's DCP lists rendering and painting of face brick as uncharacteristic in both, and Part C does not permit rendering face brick unless it was original.
For your render: We check your address against these rules before quoting, so the render, finish and colour suit what the council allows there. Cement rendering
Houses
Villas, terraces and flats
The area statements describe Victorian villas and terraces, Federation and Edwardian houses and Federation and Inter-war flats. Where a building was rendered from the start, the DCP asks for the original render to be kept and repairs to match its texture.

Coast
Harbour air and upkeep
Kirribilli's harbour frontage puts many houses within 100 m of salt water. Close to the coast, Rockcote says painted and heavily textured finishes need cleaning more often than the 12-monthly wash-down it asks for on its systems. For EPS systems that close to the water, Unitex requires Class 4 or 316 stainless fixings.

Reviews
What our clients say
Courteous, tidy, protected the area from debris, cleaned up after and a good job
“Very professional and so helpful! Good communication and a fair price! Arrived nice and early! The rendering was done very well and looks great. The boys were very careful and made no mess! I have no hesitation in recommending Ali and his workers! I am definitely a very happy customer! Job: rear of house rendering plus a variety of rendering repairs in various places! Thank you so much!”
★★★★★Gregory Williams · “We loved dealing with Ali and his team. They are all lovely and really good renderers. We wanted something a little different (a thickly applied splattered style) in some parts of the house,”bagged” in other areas and smooth render in other parts…all was no problem, and expertly done. All fairly priced too. We would definitely recommend Finishing Touch Rendering. Stephanie and David.”
