Rendering in Newport

Newport is wedged between surf and Pittwater, so salt air reaches much of the suburb and DA work follows Pittwater's dark, earthy palette. Cement and acrylic rendering in Newport, with a free quote.

Before you render in Newport

What changes a rendering job here, each from the council plan, heritage register or data sheet it comes from.

  1. Coast

    Salt air from both sides

Most of Newport's housing land is within 1 km of breaking surf, and parts are within 100 m of Pittwater. With salt water on both sides, render needs regular care: Rockcote asks for its systems to be washed down every 12 months and coastal finishes more often. Either distance brings in Unitex's Class 4 or 316 stainless fixing rule for polystyrene systems.

  2. Council

    Newport palette

DA work must use dark and earthy tones; white, light coloured, red and orange walls are not permitted outside Area 3. The Newport Commercial Centre has extra rules on light colours and materials.

  3. Heritage

    Listed houses

Pittwater LEP 2014 lists several houses in Newport. Original face brick on a listed house is not to be painted or rendered.

For your render: We check your address against these rules before quoting, so the render, finish and colour suit what the council allows there. Cement rendering

  • “Very professional and so helpful! Good communication and a fair price! Arrived nice and early! The rendering was done very well and looks great. The boys were very careful and made no mess! I have no hesitation in recommending Ali and his workers! I am definitely a very happy customer! Job: rear of house rendering plus a variety of rendering repairs in various places! Thank you so much!”
    ★★★★★Gregory Williams ·
  • “We loved dealing with Ali and his team. They are all lovely and really good renderers. We wanted something a little different (a thickly applied splattered style) in some parts of the house,”bagged” in other areas and smooth render in other parts…all was no problem, and expertly done. All fairly priced too. We would definitely recommend Finishing Touch Rendering. Stephanie and David.”
