Before you render in Millers Point
What changes a rendering job here, each from the council plan, heritage register or data sheet it comes from.
Heritage
State-listed village precinct
Much of Millers Point is the Millers Point and Dawes Point Village Precinct on the State Heritage Register, and most of that is also the Millers Point heritage conservation area. External work needs Heritage Council approval as well as the City's.
For your render: We check your address against these rules before quoting, so the render, finish and colour suit what the council allows there. Cement rendering

Heritage
Painting rules on the register
The State standard exemption for painting does not cover previously unpainted face brick or stone, and repainting needs an isolating layer over significant fabric. Contractors working on the government-owned terraces have their own order: painting unpainted face brick and sandstone is not permitted.
Coast
Harbour-side render care
Millers Point's harbour edge is within 100 m of salt water. There, Rockcote asks for its render systems to be washed down every 12 months and for paintwork and textures near the coast to be cleaned more often. Polystyrene cladding takes Class 4 or 316 stainless steel screws under Unitex's manual.

Reviews
What our clients say
Courteous, tidy, protected the area from debris, cleaned up after and a good job
“Very professional and so helpful! Good communication and a fair price! Arrived nice and early! The rendering was done very well and looks great. The boys were very careful and made no mess! I have no hesitation in recommending Ali and his workers! I am definitely a very happy customer! Job: rear of house rendering plus a variety of rendering repairs in various places! Thank you so much!”
★★★★★Gregory Williams · “We loved dealing with Ali and his team. They are all lovely and really good renderers. We wanted something a little different (a thickly applied splattered style) in some parts of the house,”bagged” in other areas and smooth render in other parts…all was no problem, and expertly done. All fairly priced too. We would definitely recommend Finishing Touch Rendering. Stephanie and David.”
