Rendering in Pyrmont

Pyrmont's old warehouses and harbour-side streets shape render work: the DCP keeps warehouse brick and sandstone uncoated, and salt air adds upkeep. Cement and acrylic rendering in Pyrmont, with a free quote.

Before you render in Pyrmont

What changes a rendering job here, each from the council plan, heritage register or data sheet it comes from.

  1. Heritage

    Warehouse rule names Pyrmont

The Sydney DCP names Pyrmont for its Federation and Inter-War warehouses. On those that are heritage items or in a conservation area, face brick and sandstone must not be rendered, painted or coated.

For your render: We check your address against these rules before quoting, so the render, finish and colour suit what the council allows there. Cement rendering

  2. Heritage

    Pyrmont heritage area

Part of the suburb is the Pyrmont heritage conservation area, and some cottages are on the State Heritage Register. Original face brick and stone in the heritage area are not to be rendered or painted.

  3. Coast

    Harbour-side upkeep

Much of Pyrmont is within 100 m of the harbour, where Rockcote's guide asks for its render systems to be cleaned down every 12 months and for finishes close to the coast to be cleaned more regularly. Polystyrene cladding takes Class 4 or 316 stainless steel screws, as Unitex specifies.

  • “Very professional and so helpful! Good communication and a fair price! Arrived nice and early! The rendering was done very well and looks great. The boys were very careful and made no mess! I have no hesitation in recommending Ali and his workers! I am definitely a very happy customer! Job: rear of house rendering plus a variety of rendering repairs in various places! Thank you so much!”
    ★★★★★Gregory Williams ·
  • “We loved dealing with Ali and his team. They are all lovely and really good renderers. We wanted something a little different (a thickly applied splattered style) in some parts of the house,”bagged” in other areas and smooth render in other parts…all was no problem, and expertly done. All fairly priced too. We would definitely recommend Finishing Touch Rendering. Stephanie and David.”
